 As children we are eager to create and are free from the burden of self-critique and the desire for perfection. As we get older, we tend to lean into an idea of excellence and precision. While in moderation, these are wonderful traits, they can also lead to negative feelings and harsh ideas about oneself. Allowing a space for adults to relinquish control and lean into the act of "art for art’s sake" can help individuals to overcome these perfectionist ideals.
