Library Knitters

Rock Talks! Presents: Sing Me a Story

Story songs have always been popular. A whole narrative (plot, setting, heroes, villains, conflict, closure) in 4 or 5 minutes, set to music. A standard of folk music, but rock and country & western have made use of the medium too. Johnny Cash, Bobbie Gentry, Jim Croce, Mark Kopfler and more all have a story to tell. Teen Advisory Board (TAB)

TAB is a group of people ages 12-18 who help the library run teen-centered programs, recommend young adult books/movies for the library to buy, promote the library to their friends, and generally help the library better serve teens. ESL Conversation Group

Join us for an English Conversation Group on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Meet other adult English language learners for informal and guided conversation practice. This is a virtual program. The Murrysville Garden Club will host a special speaker each month as part of their monthly meetings. Silloo Kapadia, Penn State Master Gardener, will discuss Hydrangeas for the Home Garden. This presentation will cover how to grow, prune, and propagate these incredible shrubs, their pests, and other common questions, such as how to change flower color, what causes yellowing of leaves, and reasons why they don't bloom. Hostesses are Nina Damato, Linda McCune, and Mary Lou Rostand. This event is free and open to all members of the community.
